Extra Extra is a blog by Fred, a Londoner. It began as a supplement to the rudimentary portal at thiswayplease.com. After this description of the impact of the tsunami in Sri Lanka was picked up by Boing Boing, Extra Extra was mentioned in the New York Times, ABC news, the Guardian, Time magazine, the Scotsman, Le Monde, The Age, several other newspapers and quite a few blogs. It even caught the attention of the British Museum. It has since returned to obscurity. Content includes photographs and first-hand accounts of goings on in Sri Lanka, the Democratic Republic of Congo and elsewhere.
Extra Extra has not been updated since its author returned to London and became a dad. However, a new blog is in the pipeline.
